Manufacturing Process
1. Coil Inspection
Steel coil inspection checks coil quality and dimensions through visual defect review, measurement verification, and methods like ultrasonic testing to confirm internal integrity and compliance with standards.
2. Welding Inspection
Welding inspection ensures welded components are structurally sound and compliant with standards by identifying defects and verifying weld quality before, during, and after the process.
3. Heat Treatment
Solution annealing heats austenitic stainless steel to dissolve carbides and restore corrosion resistance, followed by rapid quenching to maintain a stable structure, while heat treatment inspections verify the results through visual, NDT, and destructive tests to ensure properties and defect-free performance.
4. Straightening
Straightening restores heat-treated metal to its correct shape by applying controlled mechanical forces, with inspections before and after the process ensuring proper alignment and confirming no new defects are introduced.
5. Cutting
After straightening, pipes are cut to required lengths—often using chipless cutting to reduce waste—and then inspected through visual, ultrasonic, or radiographic testing to confirm quality and dimensional accuracy.
6. Deburring
After cutting SS pipe, deburring removes sharp edges and burrs using manual, mechanical, or automated methods to ensure smooth surfaces, improve function, and eliminate safety risks.
7. Pickling and Passivation
Pickling and passivation use chemical surface treatments to clean stainless steel and form a protective passive layer, with inspections—such as visual checks and blue dot chemical tests—confirming a uniform, corrosion-free finish.
8. Hydro Testing
Hydrostatic testing, also known as a hydrotest or pressure test, is a non-destructive way to evaluate the integrity of pressurized systems. It's used to check for leaks and defects in pipes.
9. Final Inspection
A finished goods inspection is a quality control step where products are checked visually and through testing to ensure they meet the required specifications and standards before being shipped to customers.
10. Bundling & Packing
Finished goods are visually checked before shipping to confirm correct quantity, dimensions, packaging, and labels, ensuring products meet specifications and are packed and marked properly for dispatch.
11. Weighing
Weighing finished goods confirms product consistency and compliance by accurately measuring weight for quality control, legal requirements, billing, and inventory tracking.
12. Dispatch
SS welded pipes are thoroughly inspected, securely packed, and properly labeled before dispatch. The material is transported safely via road freight or rail, along with all required documents, ensuring damage-free handling and timely delivery to the customer.
